Arrow: The CW Releases Final Season Premiere Date

The CW Network just announced the premiere date for Arrow‘s 8th and final season, it will be on Tuesday, October 15th, 2019, at 9/8c.

Stephen Amell had this to say on social media last month; “I’m excited that we’re going to be on after The Flash on Tuesday evenings because I feel like that’s a pairing I’ve always wanted to have.”

The final season synopsis reads:

“After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice. As the Green Arrow, Oliver successfully saved his city with the help of his team including former soldier John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), former protégé Roy Harper (Colton Haynes), street-savvy Rene Ramirez (Rick Gonzalez), metahuman Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy), brilliant inventor Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum) and Earth-2 Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy). In the wake of discovering what his future holds, Oliver will find himself pit against his most challenging battle yet, one that will leave the multiverse hanging in the balance. In Arrow’s final season, Oliver Queen is forced to confront the reality of what it means to be a hero.”

Arrow News | What’s the Theme for Season 7?

Beth Schwartz (Arrow‘s show-runner), has confirmed that redemption is the ongoing theme of the upcoming 7th season.

At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Schwartz stated that the theme will be overarching and will affect more individuals than just Oliver:

“His whole season is about redemption, and all the characters will touch on that as well.”

 

Arrow News: Liam Hall Cast as Slade Wilson’s Son For Season 6

Actor Liam Hall (“Lucifer“) will get to play Slade Wilson’s (Manu Bennett) son, Joe Wilson, in “Arrow” season 6 and he’s going to show up in the 2-part Slade Wilson arc, according to EW.

Side Notes:

  • Joe joined the secret Australian military agency and after years of brutal combat, he ends up in a remote Kasnian prison under the alias, Kane Wolfman
  • This Joe Wilson is not to be confused with Jamie Andrew Cutler’s Grant Wilson who donned the Deathstroke character in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow

“Arrow” season 6 premieres October 12 at 9/8c on The CW.
